Tracking individual portfolios and using the consolidated view

Cubis now enables you to track and report on your assets performance at both an individual portfolio level as well enabling you to consolidate two or more of your individual portfolios to create a consolidated portfolio view. You can then run reports on each portfolio individually, which you will need for tax purposes, or create a report that aggregates them together, which you might like to do to see your overall position.

Using the portfolio and consolidated view functionality you can:

  • Simplify your life at tax time: We recommend you set up a separate portfolio for each tax entity. As an example, this might include a personal portfolio (for assets held in your name), a portfolio for your superannuation account, one for a trust fund, and one for a company structure. Keeping each tax entity separate will make yours (and your accountants) life easier when it comes to tax time.
  • Create a Model Portfolio and use it as a Benchmark: Use one portfolio function to create a model portfolio, which you can then compare your performance to.
  • Conduct a Risk Assessment: View all investments collectively to understand overall risk and adjust your strategy as needed.
  • Assess Diversification Opportunities: Spot diversification gaps and opportunities in a snapshot, an essential step for balanced investing.
